The Fountain Inn is just 3 miles from Pedalabikeaway Cycle Centre, where the FODCA Trail and several excellent downhill tracks are located. Only the FODCA trail is way-marked and we strongly suggest you transfer the trail details to an OS map before setting off. Please ride responsibly and follow the Country Code. The FODCA Trail
Soon to be re-named the Freeminer Trail, this 4.5km all-weather loop was designed and built by association members in partnership with the Forestry Commission. The trail is graded RED on the CTC classification of cycle trails and received a glowing report from MBUK, when they reviewed it in 2008. This challenging and varied Singletrack has something to offer even the most demanding of riders, from tricky switchback climbs to rooty drops and hairpin bends.
Other Trails At The Cycle CentreThe FODCA Trail is the only way-marked trail at the cycle centre, but to the left of its start point there’s a track leading to several, first class, downhills. The main downhill, known locally as the Ski-Run, is easy to find and well worth the push-up. It features several technical sections and a big jump to finish. Further up the hill, past the Ski-Run start point, you’ll also find other excellent downhill tracks.
